This story refers to a water audit that took place in 2006. The money Cowglen received was also in 2006

Cowglen Golf Club in Scotland has received £11,000 after it examined its water costs and usage in detail to ensure best value.

The club decided to investigate the issue of water through an audit of its water costs, including bill analysis and full site surveys.

“We obtained a refund for the club in excess of £11,000,” said a club spokesman. “We now have a relatively low annual spend on water.”
