RSPCA to help clubs with restaurant marketing

The RSPCA has launched a nationwide fundraising event for which it is keen to enlist the support of golf clubs. Taking place on Sunday, October 30, 2011, it wants clubs to host a ‘Big Sunday Lunch’, using only Freedom Food-assured produce, which clubs can use to promote their animal welfare credentials via marketing. The charity is also asking participating clubs to donate 10 per cent of takings from food during their Big Sunday Lunch to its cause. The event is supported with an extensive marketing campaign that will see participating clubs promoted to over one million existing RSPCA supporters, as well as within a far-reaching consumer PR and online marketing campaign. The RSPCA has also created a raft of marketing materials to support food-related businesses taking part in the event, including a host of downloadable recipes, posters, postcards, placemats and an interactive website.
