Lincoln Golf Centre is dealing with a media storm after The Sun newspaper reported that it has featured in several pictures on a casual sex website.

The tabloid reported that the club has launched an investigation into allegations that a number of people have sent revealing pictures of themselves – in front of the golf club – to the site, which they use to then meet up.

One picture, claims the newspaper, shows a young woman flashing in front of the Lincoln Golf Centre entrance sign while ‘several other people have also sent in pictures of swingers flashing outside the club’.

It is believed that neighbours of the club have made complaints and the club is quoted as saying that it wants to ‘clean things up’. Owner Brian Logan added that “the pictures are nothing to do with us”.

A golfer at the club also said: “Nothing goes on like that during the day — though there have been a few times I could have done with a woman like that to liven up a disappointing round!”

The story has provoked quite a reaction on the internet, with several people joking that they are interested in joining the club. This led to one user on The Sun’s website writing: ‘What a great bit of marketing to get new members.’
