London Golf Club has announced plans to build the UK’s first European Tour ‘performance institute’.

The club has applied for planning permission to construct a European Tour Performance Institute (ETPI) complete with a driving range and a nine-hole academy golf course. Currently only one ETPI exists, at Terre Blanche in Provence.

The 36-hole London GC has already been granted planning permission for a 130-bedroom five-star hotel and spa, as it aims to become one of Europe’s premier golfing destinations and host major events.

The ETPI will use biomechanics and tools developed by elite professionals and medical specialists on the European Tour.

London Golf Club’s general manager, Austen Gravestock, said: “We are a very forward-thinking golf club and I firmly believe the new ETPI, academy and nine-hole golf course will elevate our status on the international golfing arena. London Golf Club is set to become an important destination for the European Tour.”

This idea will surely help maximizing the course. Nice idea but it will take much time to set this up. Good luck then.
