Since the passing into law of the Equality Act 2010, there have been several guidance documents published in relation to the provision of golf buggies for the disabled.
The Equality Act 2010 is the single largest piece of anti-discrimination legislation to be created in the UK.
A joint undertaking has been entered into by the National Golf Clubs’ Advisory Association and the English Golf Union to consider the impact of disability legislation on golf clubs and with specific reference to the use of motorised ride on buggies.
The Equality Act applies to all golf clubs in England, Scotland and Wales.
