There are a few ways to clean your golf clubs. You can allot a little money for special golf club cleaning kits that you can easily find at most pro sports stores.

And these kits will surely do the trick. Or, you can simply do the cleaning on your own. Do you dare to do it? All you need to provide yourself with are a couple of items you most probably already have in the pantry. If you are ready, lets get the cleaning started.

How to clean your golf clubs and grips

There are a couple of ways to make your golf clubs clean again. Lets try the easiest one.

What will you need?

To take the best care of your golf clubs we suggest that you simply begin with getting a bucket. In case you do not have one or you cannot remember where you last put it (because it happens to me quite often), a bathtub or kitchen sink will get the job done just as fine. You will also need a few drops of liquid dish soap, lukewarm water, a rag, and a brush (you can either use a toothbrush or a nylon brush).

Step 1:

Fill the bucket (or the sink / bathtub) with lukewarm water in a way to cover the heads of the irons. Then, add a splash of a liquid dish soap. Make sure that the water is not too hot as you may risk loosening the ferrules.

Step 2:

Take the bucket outside if possible and put the wedges and irons in, making sure that the club heads are entirely submerged. Let them soak in the warm water for a couple of minutes until grime is loosened. In the interim, keep the putter and woods out of the bucket.

Step 3:

After a couple of minutes, taking one club after another, use the brush to clean out the grooves in depth. It is of great importance to deep clean the grooves because removing grime and debris can help you increase surface area contact when you impact the ball.

Step 4:

Once you have cleaned the grooves, now use the brush to clean the back of the club head and the sole of the iron so that you can get rid of any grass, sand, dust or mud.

Step 5:

Once you have removed the mud, rinse off the club head thoroughly, verifying the removal of lather has not revealed more grime. Then, use the rag to dry off the club head and wipe the shaft as well.

How to clean your golf clubs grips

When you are cleaning the golf clubs, do not forget to clean the golf grips as well. The easiest way to clean them is to use a dampened cloth and wipe them down. Any grime and dirt will be removed in no time at all. In case they need deeper cleaning, keep on reading and follow these steps provided by end of tenancy cleaners

Step 1:

Fill the sink or the bucket with warm water and add a few drops of the liquid dish soap.

Step 2:

With a wet towel or rag, collect some lather and rub it into the grip.

Step 3:

Once wiped, rinse off the grips with warm water. Avoid using too hot water as you risk loosening the glue underneath the grips.

Step 4:

Use a towel or rug to dry each and every one of the grips after rinsing off. Make sure to check the shafts. Not a single drop of water should remain there.

Please, let us know if you find these tips to be beneficial.
