1. ‘Fore’ to be replaced

Arguably the biggest prank story appeared on this website however, as Golf Club Management revealed that the system of calling out ‘fore’ is to be replaced by a new system to comply with health and safety regulations.

The baffling new system involves consulting a booklet after a wayward shot has been hit, and then converting radius percentages of threatened people and the height of the ball into decametres, before shouting out ‘ForeTee’ followed by the calculated number.

Phil Mickelson, claimed the story, did not know how we coped before the new system, but a member of ‘Basilwood Golf Club’ warned that when a fourball at his club trialled it, the ball was lost by the time the conversions had been carried out.

Several people believed the story, claiming it was ‘health and safety gone mad’.
